Patient Monitoring: The Innovative System Developed by the Ambedkar Team from Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a devastating impact on the world, resulting in an unprecedented loss of life and widespread suffering. In response to this crisis, a team of innovators at the ATL Marathon developed a patient monitoring system that has the potential to save lives.

The team, consisting of Babuji Naik, Abhyuday Sharma, and Palyam Thulasiram from the Ambedkar Team, developed the system under the guidance of their project mentor M Bala Chandrudu. The system is capable of monitoring heart rates, pulse rates, body temperature, and oxygen levels, and immediately sends an SMS to registered mobile numbers when any abnormality is detected.

One of the key advantages of the system is that it utilizes wireless technology, providing real-time assistance to doctors and medical staff. The integrated LCD display eliminates the need for multiple devices, making the monitoring process more efficient and cost-effective.

The patient monitoring system operates by recording pulse and oxygen levels through an Arduino Uno framework. When the temperature sensor is touched, the temperature reading is recorded and displayed on the LCD monitor. This makes it easy to record and monitor changes in a patient’s condition over time, particularly for serious cases.

The Ambedkar Team hopes to supply this device to both rural and urban areas in order to save lives during emergencies. The device was presented in its experimental stage at the ATL Marathon, and the team is optimistic about its potential to become a full-fledged life-saving product with the support of the medical fraternity.

The Ambedkar Team is grateful for the guidance and motivation provided by their mentors, Balachandrudu Sir, Sivakumar Sir, and Penchal Sir. With their continued support, the team is confident that their innovation can move beyond the Alpha stage and become a reality.

The patient monitoring system developed by the Ambedkar Team has the potential to have a significant impact on the medical industry. With the ability to monitor a patient’s vital signs in real time and provide immediate notifications to medical staff in the event of any abnormalities, the system can greatly improve patient care and outcomes.

In addition, the system’s wireless technology and integrated LCD display can reduce the need for multiple devices, making the monitoring process more efficient and cost-effective. This can help healthcare facilities to save time and resources while still providing high-quality care to their patients.

The system’s potential to be used in both rural and urban areas can also help to bridge the healthcare gap and provide access to medical monitoring in areas that may not have the same level of resources as more developed regions.

Overall, the patient monitoring system developed by the Ambedkar Team has the potential to revolutionize the way that patient care is provided, particularly in emergency situations. Its impact on the medical industry could be significant and far-reaching, improving the quality of care and ultimately saving lives.
