At the IRIS National Fair 2022-23, held at the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi on January 20, Samarth Pandey, a student at DBMS English School, presented his project in the category of Behavioral & Social Sciences and received accolades for his work. The annual fair receives research-based science projects from young students across several categories, and a total of 95 projects are shortlisted for showcase before an eminent jury comprising scientists and domain experts. Samarth’s project won the grand award, and he will represent India at the International Science & Engineering Fair (ISEF) to be held in Dallas, Texas, USA from May 13 to 19, 2023.

He is among the 20 finalists chosen from across India to represent team India at ISEF 2023. Samarth’s project focused on brainwave stimulation as a technique to prevent Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and insomnia, and improve cognitive abilities. Utilizing their ATAL Tinkering Lab, students at D.B.M.S English School have achieved great success with their projects at both national and international levels. This is the second time that one of their students has been selected for the International Grand Award, with the first being Subhigya Priyansh at the Initiative for Research & Innovation in STEM (IRIS) National Fair held in 2020.
