NASA Space Apps Challenge is an international hackathon where teams engage in addressing real-world problems on Earth and in Space. This year the event focused on community and humanity, including over 31,500+ registered participants from 162 countries and territories.
Having to compete with around 3000 projects submitted across the world, we stand here amongst 35 #GlobalFinalists, the Top 2 from India.
“Out of the many challenges that Space Apps announced, one that caught our attention was ‘Turning STEM into STEAM’ where the idea was to develop an innovative and original approach that combines science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math (STEAM) to effectively communicate scientific information to people with different cultural, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds.
Following the same, we developed ‘Space Search’, an interactive application that serves your interest in space by letting you identify, assemble and launch a project into space to ultimately explore your utopic idea of the universe. It’s an attempt to bring the understanding of reaching the universe and beyond, to the masses.” shared by Team member
“We dreamt, we planned, we built and BOOM it’s done !”
“It was clearly not like that. A roller coaster rides with repeated forming and adjourning of our team, with every time feeling like a panic attack since we couldn’t afford a loss of any pillar standing the weight of the project.
We realized the hard way, that conflicts while working in a team are inevitable. Even the ideas that we think of sometimes fail the test of time and leave us on a road unparalleled. It’s absolutely on us how we take that forward from there.
To all the people who have contributed to this project in its making, we are equally grateful to all of them.” shared by Team member
