Manav, Aryan, and Anshul from DAV Public School Gurgaon have created a solution(ACCIDENT REPORTER) for the increasing number of fatalities resulting from accidents caused by delayed hospitalization. Their device is capable of sending an automatic SOS message, along with the person’s location, to the Police, Hospital, or Family.
The device is equipped with a shock sensor that only triggers when the vehicle experiences significant damage, as it operates similarly to airbags in cars. Minor shocks and collisions will not activate the sensor. Additionally, the device utilizes a GPS/GSM Module to trigger the alert. The GPS module helps to identify the accident location, which is then converted into an electrical message and transmitted via the GSM module to the Police, Hospital, or Family. As a result, the vehicle can automatically send an SOS message without requiring assistance from bystanders.
The team is currently exploring options to turn their prototype into a marketable product, including patenting the device to safeguard their intellectual property. They also plan to license their patent to automobile companies interested in utilizing their technology, thus achieving greater exclusivity.
In addition, the team is aiming to propose the idea to relevant government authorities and lobby for the mandatory implementation of their device in all vehicles. They hope to gain recognition and support from both the business and administrative sectors, with the ultimate goal of manufacturing the device themselves.
